- Storage Under the Bed – Even if your bed’s lower to the floor, there are special bins that will be able to slide under. Store things like off-season clothes in it to free up the space for items you’re wearing now.
- Use Your Walls – There is a lot of room on your walls that you can use to put your shelving and hooks. Just make sure that you check your lease to find out what is allowed.
Bathroom Space Tips
Bathrooms in apartments are notoriously small. But there are things that you can do to help you with having enough space for your items. You just have to get creative.
- Put a Shelf Over Your Toilet – Since it will slide around your toilet, you aren’t going to add to your bathroom’s footprint. This will be a great spot for the toiletries that don’t fit on your sink.
- Put Hooks On the Door – These are ideal for bathrobes or wet towels. They help things dry out while keeping them out of the way.
- Shower Caddies – These can be hung over the shower head to hold your shampoos and soaps.
- Small Containers – Placing these inside your cabinets can make great spots for things like your curling iron, hair dryer and straightener.
- Fresh Towel Rack – You can use a shelf or wine rack to place fresh towels. This will make sure that they’re accessible without taking up valuable space in your cabinets or your closet. It also will look decorative if the towels are vibrantly colored.
These are just some of the things that you can do to make more space in your apartment bedroom and bathroom. Keep in mind that you may not have enough room for all of the items that you have. But with these tips, you can fit more into your bedroom and bathroom than you may have expected.
